ADEAM

Brand Concept

Tradition × Innovation

“ADEAM” is a word created by reversing “MAEDA,” which is designer Hanako Maeda’s family name. The mark used in the logo that resembles a plum flower is Hanako’s family crest. Thus, “ADEAM” embodies the designer’s attitude to respect the old, while bringing this tradition to life through a modern voice. Twenty-first century Japan is defined by its ability to make venerable traditions harmonize with the cutting edge: it is both a land of history, and a laboratory where the future is imagined. ADEAM draws its inspiration from this duality. We search out the beautiful in what we have inherited and imbue that beauty with new meaning in the present.
