QVC GIVING BACK IS ALWAYS IN FASHION QVC Teams Up with the CFDA to Create "Designer Charms for Charity" Benefitting Fashion Targets Breast Cancer
Fashion Targets Breast Cancer Commemorates 15 Years of the Worldwide Initiative

WEST CHESTER, Pa. (August 26, 2009) – To commemorate its 15th anniversary, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has teamed up with leading multimedia retailer QVC to debut QVC Designer Charms for Charity to benefit Fashion Targets Breast Cancer (FTBC).

The collection, which will feature charms by some of the industry's top fashion and jewelry designers – including CFDA Members Robert Lee Morris, Anthony Nak, Bradley Bayou, George Simonton and Marc Bouwer – plus a 15th Anniversary FTBC charm, is scheduled to be unveiled Tuesday, September 1 on QVC.com. The pieces will also be featured during QVC's broadcasts from Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, which are scheduled to air September 10 through September 16, and will be available throughout the month on QVC.com, while supplies last.

"It is an honor to be working with the CFDA for this wonderful cause," said Claire Watts, president of U.S. Commerce for QVC. "Not only is it a great way for our shoppers to purchase one of these exclusive charms but it also allows them to give back to a great organization."

A worldwide charitable initiative of the CFDA, FTBC helps women concerned about or diagnosed with breast cancer gain access to reliable health information and quality health care. Through its extensive network of supporters, including fashion designers, models, retailers, and other creative energies within the fashion industry, the Foundation has raised nearly $50 million for distribution to breast cancer charities worldwide.

"The CFDA and its members are proud of the accomplishments made by Fashion Targets Breast Cancer in the past 15 years," said Steven Kolb, executive director of CFDA. "It is our hope that progress in treating breast cancer will advance so we do not have another landmark anniversary like this one. QVC Designer Charms for Charity helps push the world closer to winning the fight against breast cancer."

QVC Designer Charms for Charity, which were created especially for QVC with the help of New York-based Designers Management Agency, will range in price from approximately $20.00 to $100.00 each. A link bracelet to display the charms will also be offered starting September 1. Visit QVC.com for more information.
