ROUGE TOMATE LAUNCHES FIRST EVER JUICE BAR
AT MERCEDES-BENZ FASHION WEEK
NEW YORK, NY. (September 11, 2009) –Rouge Tomate, the Belgium imported restaurant
and one of the hottest new spots in Manhattan, is proud to participate at this season's
Mercedes–Benz Fashion Week. On Saturday, September 12th and Sunday, September 13th, Rouge
Tomate will debut their first ever Fashion Week Juice Bar at the main tent showcasing fresh
and seasonal mocktails, prepared by Rouge Tomate's mixologist, Rainlove Lampariello.
Located in the heart of Manhattan at 10 East 60th St. between Madison and Fifth Avenue,
Rouge Tomate features modern American dishes under the direction of Executive Chef Jeremy Bearman.
Chef Bearman will also be on hand at the tent on Saturday from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. to talk about the
restaurant's groundbreaking philosophy of sustainability and nutrition, explaining why we can proudly
and confidently say that "the greenest restaurant in New York is red." Born in Belgium, Rouge Tomate
is the first American restaurant to follow a specific, proprietary nutritional guideline called SPE
(Sourcing, Preparing, Enhancing). The restaurant houses a culinary nutritionist on staff,
Natalia Rusin who works hand-in-hand with the kitchen and bar to ensure that every dish is a
unique combination of healthy and delicious.
"New York's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week has always served as the pinnacle event
for the fashion word and a true celebration of beauty, style and taste.
As such, it is the perfect opportunity for Rouge Tomate to showcase our
sustainable, and delicious cocktail program," said Emmanuel Verstraeten,
Founder and CEO of Rouge Tomate. "Rouge Tomate is not just a restaurant,
it's a sophisticated way of affirming beauty, life and well being and we
are so delighted to participate in this week's events."
